How dare you eve suggest a plugin lime seriously what kinda fucked up childhood did you have to be able to so willingly just suggest a monstrosity like wow dude what next we all join the nazis start the slave trade back up? No but in all seriousness theres a couple plugins but as soon as we add them we aint vanilla anymore we become a vanilla + 🤢 What we really need is to drill it into the cunts heads that if you be breaking rules well ban your stupid ass. Since im not allowed to threaten to hunt them down irl i wont but just know i have to money to do so 😶 Hm..always thought a modded server was anything that enhanced game play...in my mind it'd still be vanilla. But it is what it is. There's some disagreement inside the Minecraft community about what exactly "vanilla" means. Some servers do say they're vanilla even though they run plugins as long as you can connect with an unmodded client. Some people ("purists"?) get annoyed by that and insist that it isn't vanilla unless it's the raw code straight from Notch's brain with nothing added. One practical downside of running plugins is that you can't update immediately when a new version of Minecraft is released. We'd have to wait for the plugins to update too. I personally wouldn't mind having some plugins that make it easier to identify griefers, but I'd still say it's good to be cautious with applications. Even if we can catch and ban them easily, it's still a pain for both the players and the moderators having to roll back the server to fix damage and it's really nice to be part of a community where you can trust that stuff like that is going to be very rare.

There is also an option of using Forge. As an owner of small server I looked into that option a while ago and Forge doesn't modify the game at all. Spigot is simply speaking a different game made by different people that just happens to be very very similar to Minecraft. Forge however is just a layer above vanilla and it is therefore really just vanilla. Why is this important? Because if Forge is delayed you can update to vanilla and nothing will brake and when Forge is released, you use same world, just with Forge. And why would somebody use Forge? Because of mods like this: mods.curse.com/mc-mods/minecraft/243952-trust-is-nice-but
