I learned to play music, and every door that opened for me are all due to this one person. This isn't my favorite Nirvana song, but it's a great song that never made it to an LP so most people haven't heard it. RIP Kurt

A little greeting from the cold Denmark. Here's the danish band Volbeat with one of their best songs. There's a bit of danish in there, but most of it is english.

Absolute favorite track from the French death metal group Gojira. The song encompasses all of their immense heaviness and groove and I'll never skip it if it happens to come up on shuffle. The beginning has this tribal beat which moves into complete chaos, grabbing some rhythm along the way, and quickly devolving into even more chaos when the lyrics come forth but this is all just build up. The mid sections and the transitions into the end are a godly pay off, and worth the wait every time. The lyrics seem to be about (very simply) "stop and smell the roses" as well as some eastern philosophical influence thrown in. Overall a very different message from most death metal. An actual positive message. I don't normally share music, but this one is too special to not share.

Volbeat! Moon, I love when any band incorporates something different into their music. The tribal at the beginning was good too. Not bad overall, but they could have cut that track by about 4 minutes.lol

A significant musical performance here by the Fab Four. After years of doing nothing but studio work, they played on the rooftop of Apple HQ, for the very last time in front of a crowd. This was filmed for Let it Be, and I highly recommend searching out and finding the entire rooftop show. Just a little over a year later the band would break up and part ways for good.
